Experience
Brad Ketcher has extensive experience in Missouri
government and law. In the public sector, he served as the
top appointed official in the executive branch of Missouri
State Government - Chief of Staff in the Governor's Office.
In that position, he oversaw the day-to-day operation of the
executive branch of state government and served as a liaison
to county and municipal governments across the state.
On behalf of the Governor, he helped secure
the passage of landmark legislation, including children's
health insurance legislation; three broad based tax cuts,
including elimination of the state's sales tax on food; desegregation
settlement legislation; anti-methamphetamine legislation and
early childhood education legislation. He also supervised
the annual development of Missouri's multi-billion dollar
state budget.
Prior to being named Chief of Staff, Ketcher
served as the Governor's Office Legislative Director and Legal
Counsel. He also served as Legal Counsel to the Gubernatorial
Transition and Trustee of the Missouri State Employees’
Retirement System.
As a private attorney, he has represented dozens
of individual, corporate and not-for-profit clients in a wide
variety of state and local government matters, including administrative
law, elections, economic development, environmental law, government
contracts, health care, taxation and utilities law.
A graduate of Central Methodist College and
Saint Louis University School of Law, Ketcher also serves
as a Special Assistant Circuit Attorney in St. Louis, where
he prosecutes felonies.
